Jimi Hendrix – Death Announcement
Feb 6, 2012 Oldies Music

Jimi Hendrix’s death announcement, September 18th, 1970 on ABC News. Some inaccuracies of the clip.. alexrimsrydr57 “he didnt die of an overdose either…the official cause was “inhalation of vommit… he took 20 sleeping pills with wine, threw up in his sleep, inhaled it and died…and he was 27 not 28″ I particularly like that the reporter says “During his short career Hendrix Flailed his -clears throat to read his notes/written material?- Some of the most unusual sounds of an unusual music” to describe his music. This man was a fucking genius. He is my favorite musician of all time. Never mind being Way ahead of his time. He Invented the Intense-Space-Exploring Guitar Solo. If you ever want to see space without a rocket, listen to Voodoo Child off of Electric Ladyland. If you want to go to the beach and chill listen to Pali Gap off of Rainbow bridge. And finally, if you want to feel absolutely free and love life, Listen to the Live recording of Stone free off of Live at the Fillmore East. Those are my 3 favorite Hendrix tunes :]

Jimi Hendrix- All Along the Watchtower
Dec 15, 2011 Oldies Music
Lyrics: There must be some kind of way out of here Said the joker to the thief Theres too much confusion I cant get no relief Businessman they drink my wine Plow men dig my earth None will level on the line Nobody of it is worth Hey hey No reason to get excited The thief he kindly spoke There are many here among us Who feel that life is but a joke but uh But you and I weve been through that And this is not our fate So let us not talk falsely now The hours getting late Hey Hey All along the watchtower Princes kept the view While all the women came and went Bare-foot servants to, but huh Outside in the cold distance A wild cat did growl Two riders were approachin And the wind began to howl Hey Oh All along the watchtower Hear you sing around the watch Gotta beware gotta beware I will Yeah Ooh baby All along the watchtower

I wonder where Austin Powers got his inspiration from? The Troggs formed in 1964 and were signed by the manager of The Kinks, Larry Page in 1965. Their most famous hit was the single “Wild Thing” (written by Chip Taylor), which with the help of television exposure on Thank Your Lucky Stars reached number 2 in the UK and number 1 in the United States in June 1966. Its combination of a simple heavy guitar riff and flirtatious lyrics helped it to quickly become a garage rock standard. It was recorded in one complete take (take two) at Olympic Studios in London, with Keith Grant engineering. The band’s success in the US was also limited by not touring there until 1968.
