For this piece I cobbled together footage from the 1968 Jean-Luc Godard film originally titled “One Plus One” to depict the evolution of the Stones’ classic from initial run-throughs to final recording. Additionally, there’s a bit of live footage from the ’69 Altamont gig documented in the Maysles Brothers’ “Gimme Shelter” at the end.
